Why Savvy Ed?

Savvy Ed is an ambitious method of teaching English to children aged 8-11. It prioritises communication and a balanced development of the other language skills, while boosting students’ cognitive curiosity and motivation to ensure better learning outcomes.

What makes Savvy Ed different?

Based on the principles of modern teaching methodology, Savvy Ed is designed to encourage the development of children’s communicative competence. To ensure high quality teaching, we have established strict licensing rules, a well-developed system for supporting teachers and an effective framework for parent-teacher collaboration.

Working with challenging course content, our students also get the opportunity to consolidate their acquired knowledge through communication activities. What makes our method unique is the innovative structure of the course content, which facilitates effective revision and consolidation.

Child-friendly

Classes are taught in small groups, and age-appropriate activities are used to keep children motivated.

Innovative

It uses an innovative course content structure, both for individual classes and for the programme as a whole.

Ambitious and hands-on

It combines a wide range of vocabulary and grammatical structures with a focus on real-life communication.

Reliable

Classes are taught by teachers who are thoroughly trained in the method, and with an effective communication system in place, parents are kept up to date with their children’s progress.

REVIEWS BY SAVVY ED STUDENTS

Laura, aged 10

Savvy Ed is a very cool way of teaching; we are very active in class, we move around a lot and we learn in lots of different ways.

Hania, aged 9

Student

I like the games we play in class and I like how we use different activities to revise vocabulary. The classes are fun and I feel that English might be very useful for me one day.

Pola, aged 10

Student

I like Savvy Ed because we play language games instead of sitting over our books all the time. I like the online platform.

Szymon, aged 12

Savvy Ed graduate

I remember that I really enjoyed the Savvy Ed classes because we had lots of activities and games that encouraged learning in a creative way. I also liked the idea of the mailbox, where students would occasionally find a letter from Ed.

Nikola, aged 13

Currently an Edward’s League student

With Savvy Ed, I learnt to form various more complex sentences. I also learnt to read aloud. I enjoyed collecting stickers for being active in class.

Antek’s mum

Parent

The Savvy Quest app is engaging and helps consolidate the phrases and vocabulary learnt in a way that is not overly repetitive. The method allows for a natural consolidation of material, and covers a variety of topics. Results – my child can speak freely, has a wide range of vocabulary, enjoys going to classes, understands the purpose of learning and enjoys the process, and is able to communicate on holidays abroad.

Jola, 9-year-old Zosia’s mum

Parent

In my opinion, the Savvy Ed course is a very good way to learn English because it is mostly built around developing children’s communication skills. Kids can easily learn and remember new phrases and vocabulary through games and activities.

Alicja, aged 11

Student

I like Savvy Ed because of the books; they’re funny. We also have a special app with chapters. There are 40 of them and each one has different games. I like Sound Cubes the best – it teaches you correct pronunciation. I really liked the video that you watch in the app when you get to the end.

Maja, aged 12

Currently an Edward’s League student

What I liked about the Savvy Ed course was the teaching method. The games and activities were great for teaching me how to speak, read and write in English.

Piotr, 11-year-old Filip’s dad

Parent

I like the fact that there are games and activities used in class and that there is access to a variety of learning resources (exercises, songs, etc.). After just a few classes, you can see the results – not only in terms of vocabulary, but also grammar. I appreciate the safe approach to evaluating progress.

10-year-old Janusz’s dad

Parent

Janusz enjoys going to class. His language skills are improving, which has been noticed in his English classes at school. The homework assignments on the website are not too difficult, he doesn’t need our help to complete the tasks.

Michał, 10-year-old Jan’s dad

Parent

Jan has been learning English since he was 3 or 4 years old. He enjoys the classes, although he never has the time to study at home. With the knowledge he has acquired on the course, Jan is able to take a “relaxed approach” to his English lessons at school and this motivates him to attend classes regularly.

The Savvy Quest app

Savvy Ed students are given access to the Savvy Quest educational app. Using the app, children can do their homework in a fun and innovative way, revise and consolidate the material learnt in class, and play all the class recordings, which fosters the children’s immersion in English.

Much more than just an add-on to the course, the app is a carefully designed, integral part of the programme. Regular use of the app makes classroom activities more effective, enabling learners to develop greater communicative competence, fluency and confidence.
